Welcome to September; a startling reminder that this calendar year is almost over.
September is a time to evaluate and get real about what you commit to.
In the Fall season, we seem to run out of excuses for why we continue to put energy into people and projects that will never feed us in return.
It’s time to tighten up.
Read your Rising, Sun and Moon sign horoscopes below (in that order) to begin the end of this year with your feet firm in your worth.

(Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This week begins with a connection between your ruling planet (Mercury) and Venus, which bodes well for your relationships and your mood. Try not to over-indulge or let anyone attempt to reconfigure your boundaries just because you’re feeling generous. Mercury moves into your sign this week and you will need a clear mind and lots of space to process. Don’t clog up your life with things “to-do.” Trade a cold list of to-dos for an understanding of how you want to feel and who you want to be this week and place priorities on tasks and duties accordingly. The New Moon is in your sign on Sunday. To let that event be a true reset for you, you need to let go of expectations and “realistic” thinking and take some risks that walk that exhilarating line between scary and exciting.
(Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This week begins with your planet, Venus, forming a sextile to Mercury and ends with it moving into Scorpio. The fluid energy of Mercury wants to help you expand and shift your mindset before you become set some of that fixed energy. You’re transitioning from one season of your life to another, especially as your Solar Return fast approaches. How are you preparing for and embracing these changes? What new shoes are you stepping into and what skin are you stepping out of and sacrificing to do it? It’s time to take yourself and your visions seriously by letting what is dead and done fall away to make room for your rise.
(Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Venus moves into your sign at the end of this week, right after she squares your ruling planet, Mars. AKA, this week will be a busy one followed by a rollercoaster of a weekend. Keep your head in the game by creating schedules and alarms-intentional commitments to show up for what matters. You don’t have to be everything to everyone or do everything by yourself and no one is expecting you to. This week, focus on you and don’t spread yourself so thin. When the weekend rolls around, you’ll want to just sink into what feels good. Let yourself, you deserve it. Make plans to go to the forest, the bar or to a show. Pick something that will just let you become enveloped into the visceral experience and remind you of the little moments you live for.
(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
A New Moon in your tenth house of public life and social position makes a great end to your week. Right now is all about the climb. If you’ve been coasting, resting on an old reputation or waiting on something, it’s time to move on and up. It’s hard to be your own catalyst. The fear of rejection, failure or even success can feel debilitating, but right now is your chance to move through. Focus on all of the incredible growth that lies beyond the barrier you have been refusing to break, not the growing pains. The discomfort and anxiety will pass and the up-level you will experience will be worth it, but no one will shatter the glass ceiling for you. Now is the time for you to step up, Sag.
(Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Your ruling planet, Saturn, stations direct this week as you enjoy the last few days of Mars in your sign, as well. The order for the next few weeks is about long-term vision now, financial and material understanding and planning next week and then beginning to build the vision on top of the foundation you have laid by the end of the month. If you are attached to old ways or afraid of your own success, this is the time to put some serious effort into healing and moving on from these fear-based attachments. You have plenty of time until the end of the year to build something, even if it is just a beautiful, brand new foundation. Start now.
Your traditional ruler, Saturn, stations direct this week while Mars moves through your twelfth house of the unknown. This would be a great week to get back in touch with your spirituality. Whether you are “religious,” “spiritual” or not, everyone has a spirit; an essential consciousness and nature. Make and effort to reach and integrate that part of you, this week. Through meditation, time alone in nature, time in water, trance, etc, you can begin to get back to basics and reset how much space your spirit takes up rather than your “rational brain” and fear doing all of the talking.
Virgo season and the New Moon activate your seventh house of partnership and bring who you are into sharp focus. Don’t just use the next month to lose yourself in your romantic endeavors or outsource your pleasure. It’s time for you to step a little deeper into yourself, to ask yourself: What do the dynamics in my intimate relationships say about me? How am I being reflected in my relationships? How have I been treating people? Treating myself? Dig as deep as you can and be as honest and as curious as possible. You know how to bloom through any season. Don’t let yourself fall into any situation that inhibits your ability to see yourself and your path clearly because it will cost you more in the end.
(March 21-April 19)
Venus squares your home planet, Mars, this week as it continues its way through Capricorn. You may feel that being in relationship and having to wait on other people is hard for you, right now. Patience won’t be easy but it will be necessary. If you find yourself agitated or “over it” ask yourself if the reaction is the result of long-term build up or an impulsive reaction that would be best for you to try and shake off. You have been doing lots of work around getting your priorities straight. Don’t let a little bit of impatience or misunderstanding throw you off track.
(April 20-May 20)
There has been weeks of build up and it is finally time to take the leap, Taurus. Welcome back to the ledge. This week is your opportunity to put your plans into action, to jump into the unknown, willingly. Whatever is scaring you the most because it challenges you in ways that grow and push you to be better are what you should be running towards. Uranus came into your sign to shake things up. Make the New Moon on Sunday your very last day to shake any reservations, doubts or worry. You have been weaving your safety net for long enough and you’re more ready than you think. It’s time for the trust-fall.
(May 21-June 21)
Virgo season activates your fourth house of home and family which is further illuminated by the New Moon on the ninth. This week, if it feels good and accessible to you, spend time with people you consider family. Surround yourself with images, objects and smells that make you feel at home. Journal about how you define “home” and “family” and what you want those things to look like now and in the future. Virgo is the organizational counterpart to your quick and creative mind. Indulge in activities that expand your visions, provide you with clarity, and help you invest in your emotional and physical stability for now and for the foreseeable future.
(June 22-July 22)
You have been making steady progress on your self-worth and fear of success and dodging the obstacles in your way in stride (more or less). By the end of this week, something shifts and there is an “all roads are open” feeling that may startle you. You’re use to hardship and battle, usually with yourself, and this week it seems almost painfully obvious that you are your only obstacle, now. How are you going to get out of your own way, Cancer? How are you going to trust that this tailwind is for you and take the opportunities that present themselves? Face your greatness and the fact that you’re leveling up to a new shell. The change is much needed and well deserved. There is nowhere left to go but up.
(July 23-Aug. 22)
A New Moon in your second house means a reboot for all things financial. Opportunities for you to make money my feel sudden and abrupt but they really are just a result of the culmination of work you have done in your life that you just didn’t know were preparation. Be open to all of the ways that abundance can show up in your life. Money isn’t the only thing you can be abundant in. Celebrate the love, energy and creativity that you find to be effortless and overflowing in your life. Put your attention only onto what you want to grow and practice saying “yes,” to help, to pleasure, to opportunity and to love. This is an exciting time for you, Leo. Try to make sure that you have some steady ground to stand on so that you don’t get swept away in the commotion.
